For My ODS Graduate

Daniel just graduated from a five week officer training program with the U.S. Navy. And I couldn't be prouder of my man! I was able to travel to RhodeIsland for the occasion and see him all decked out in his uniform (photos to follow). Below is the card I made him for the occasion, with a navy blue sailboat, of course!

To make: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Kraft, Twine String

Meet My Bridesmaids!

Here they are! These six fabulous ladies will be walking with me down the aisle, standing by my side, and I'm sure calming my crazy nerves! I couldn't imagine getting married without them!

So without further adieu...

Austin, my younger sister
Hadar, my best friend since high school
Alex and Jaimee, my cousins
Heather, my friend since college
Andrea, my after-college friend (and Daniel's friend since college)

Bridesmaid Gifts

I have been dying to post this, but wanted to wait until I could show the fiancé how I asked my girls... So here it is! I couldn't just simply ask my closest girlfriends to stand by me on my wedding day, I had to do something cutesy and crafty!

I bought cute bags and wooden hangers, black grosgrain ribbon, grabbed a Sharpie, and went to work. I wrote each girl's name in black Sharpie, then tied a bow. Easy. Simple. Cute!

The bags will be used to hold their shoes, jewelry, etc. The hangers for their bridesmaid dresses!

A Little Birdie Told Me

I made another set of cards for my church's silent auction fundraiser, but I won't lie, I'm not super happy with them... They might be too cutesy given the population of bidders. Hmmm...

All four cards were made on kraft cardstock and used chocolate chip stamp color:
Weather: rose red, so saffron, chocolate chip
Celebrate: tangerine tango, certainly celery, so saffron
Good News: certainly celery, so saffron, tangerine tango
Birthday: rose red, blue bayou, certainly celery

Season of Friendship

For our first Christmas together, Daniel gave me this Season of Friendship stamp set from Stampin Up. This was back in 2008 and I still use it all the time. It's definitely one of my favorites! Below is a set that I made as a donation to my church's silent auction fundraiser. I have quite a few more sets to make in order to complete the assortment for the basket, but I think I'm off to a good start!

For Fall: more mustard, chocolate chip, really rust, very vanilla
For Winter: real red, chocolate chip, kraft, whisper white
For Spring: baja blue, chocolate chip, very vanilla, wild wasabi
For Summer: certainly celery, chocolate chip, whisper white, rose red
